KelloSam's Weekly Football Roundup

This window is shaping up to be one of the most exciting in recent years as the futures of Erling Haaland and Kylian Mbappe are both undecided. As things stand Real Madrid are looking likely to seal both players for next season.

LIVERPOOL

With the acquisition of Fabio Carvalho basically done, Jurgen Klopp believes that he has a gem on his hands and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain will be allowed to leave the club this summer should an appropriate offer arrive.

Mohamed Salah will sign a new deal until 2025 after a compromise was reached, a deal that will make him one of the Premier League's highest salaried players. The pay dispute has been resolved and Salah will earn around $400K per week.

REAL MADRID

Despite recent reports about Manchester City agreeing a deal for Erling Haaland, it is understood that Real Madrid have a longstanding verbal agreement with the player and he will join them in the summer.

Real's salary offer to Haaland is in the region of $450K a week, on a 5-year deal. He has rejected City's proposal.

CHELSEA

The Boehly Consortium is the overwhelming favourite to takeover the club from Roman Abramovich ahead of the Ricketts family in second place.

All incomings and outgoings will only be decided when the new ownership is in place, along with manager Thomas Tuchel and a new Sporting Director.

BARCELONA

As things stand Barcelona will not make the loan signing of Adama Traore permanent due to the financial costs involved. Barca will try to negotiate with Wolverhampton, with the goal of reducing the asking price or the mandatory buyout clause.

Sergino Dest is also set to leave the club this summer as Xavi does not believe in the player. Dest currently has Premier League and Bundesliga clubs chasing his signature.

ARSENAL

Gakpo is Mikel Arteta's first choice in the forward position and Dominic Calvert-Lewin is not on the list. New United manager Erik Ten Hag is also a big admirer of the player whose price tag is reported to be around $45M due to growing interest from top European clubs.

Arsenal will also propose a 5-year deal for star talent Bukayo Saka during talks in the summer. His salary will increase to $110K a week according to multiple sources.

MANCHESTER CITY

MCFC have lost out to Real Madrid in the race for Erling Haaland. City offered $650K per week compared to Madrid's $450K per week, but Haaland's love for the Spanish club saw him disregard the higher salary offer from The Citizens.

As exclusively reported earlier, Fernandinho will leave the club come the end of this season, and some Brazilian clubs such as Atletico Paranaense and Flamengo have already made contact with his representative.

Nothing has been firmed up regarding the future of Manchester City's captain.

ATLETICO MADRID

Contacts have been made with the representatives of Lautaro Martinez as Simeone considers him a possible replacement for the departing Luis Suarez.

The whole deal hangs on the uncertain future of Joao Felix, who is likely to leave the club this summer should a suitable offer arrive.

TOTTENHAM HOTSPUR

Harry Kane is likely to remain at the club beyond this summer if they clinch a UEFA Champions League placement. Kane has set having UCL football as his minimum requirement to stay at Spurs and maybe to even sign a new deal.

Nothing has been decided yet. Kane will make a decision in the summer as Spurs want to extend his current deal beyond 2023.
