KELLOSAM’S WEEKLY TRANSFER ROUNDUP

With the business end of the European season on the horizon, it's business as usual in the transfer market for Europe’s top clubs and here is a roundup for some of them:

LIVERPOOL

With a front five of Salah , Mane , Firmino , Jota and January recruit Diaz , Liverpool finally have the firepower to propel them towards a famous Quadruple as things stand.

Liverpool look likely to offload Roberto Firmino when his contract expires next summer.

PARIS SAINT GERMAIN

With Mbappe keen on a blockbuster move to Real Madrid in the summer, Paris Saint Germain have made enquiries about Mohamed Salah and have so far received negative feedback as he’s not willing to trade Merseyside for the French capital.

Paris Saint Germain’s talks with soon to be free agent Paul Pogba are well underway, have been positive and an agreement could be announced this summer.

MANCHESTER CITY

Haaland has rejected City’s offer and contract proposal as he cannot wait to feature at the new Santiago Bernabeu . Haaland has a verbal agreement with Madrid to join the Los Blancos in the summer.

City’s two top targets for a new striker are Harry Kane and Darwin Nunez. Guardiola was informed of Haaland’s decision and is now keenly interested in a re-launch to bring the Spurs striker at the Etihad as his top marksman.

DORTMUND

The Yellow and Blacks are resigned to losing Manuel Akanji who has refused to sign a new contract. Akanji feels that he’s ready for Premier League football and I understand Man United are in pole position to secure his signature as talks have been held with his representatives.

Dortmund in turn have identified Freiburg’s Schlotterbeck as his replacement and the player is valued at $25M though I understand Dortmund are not willing to offer more than $20M. Talks continue.

MANCHESTER UNITED

Erik Ten Hag is one step away from becoming the next Man United manager after breakthrough talks with the club. United have agreed on a compensation fee which is more than $5M and I understand it has been paid.

All that remains is to sign a contract till 2025, with it likely to be signed at the end of the season.

REAL MADRID

Carlo Ancelotti will not continue as Real Madrid coach next season, a decision made by Florentino Perez himself.

Real Madrid have also agreed personal terms with Tchouameni despite stiff competition from PSG. Tchouameni is destined for the Spanish capital.

JUVENTUS

With Alexandro set to leave Juventus this summer, the Old Lady is looking at two names; Chelsea’s Emerson Palmieri and AZ Alkmaar’s Wijndal. I understand Emerson Palmieri is the favorite among the Juventus hierarchy to replace Alex Sandro.

As reported in my previous article, Jorginho is unhappy at Chelsea due to his limited game time. He feels underappreciated and wants to leave the Blues this summer. Juventus are monitoring his situation in case Arthur leaves in the coming window.

Juventus are also interested in Roma’s Zaniolo for their forward line as contract extension talks have been paused by Roma till the end of the season. Juventus are keeping a close eye on any developments surrounding his future.

CHELSEA

No negotiations ongoing with either players regarding contract extensions or agents about possible targets due to an ongoing sale of the club. I understand that the Todd Boehly consortium and the Ricketts family are neck and neck, but Todd Boehly is favorite to secure the sale of the club.

ARSENAL

Fabian Ruiz remains Arteta’s number one target for the midfield as the Spanish manager wants a reshuffle and thinks the Napoli man can add a lot of fluidity to his midfield. No talks have been held with Napoli or his representatives yet.

William Saliba will link-up with his teammates this summer when his loan expires at Marseillle. Arteta has held talks with Saliba and assured him that he’ll be counting on him next season.
